About the Event Producers Group
The Event Producers Group (EPG) formed in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. The group’s founders came together to grapple with the changing landscape of holding in-person events and formed a support group to share resources and brainstorm new ways of holding events.
Today, EPG meets regularly, facilitates an active forum dedicated to problem solving around events, tours venue spaces on campus and in the greater Madison community, and participates in professional development activities.
EPG Activities
- Active Teams channel, including a celebration channel for recognizing successes!
- Social networking and co-working gatherings
- Venue tours of: Garver Feed Mill, Monona Terrace, UW Arboretum
- Advocacy for campus-wide tools, such as event registration software
- Participation in the Employee Resource Fair
- Book clubs related to event design and leadership
- Monthly meetings featuring topics such as: Integral Facilitation, event design, paperwork party and repository, productivity systems, hybrid events, accessibility, and more.
